Some time ago I did a 2 weeks horsetrekking in Tong, south of Lake Issyk-Kul.I went from Bishkek first to a yurtcamp in Ak-Say at the lake, there the horses, guide and intepreter came and together we rode into themountains. We stayed mostly in different yurt camps. From some yurt camps we rode up into hide mountians, stayed with a local family in a isolated village and from there on to another yurtcamp. We rode about 35 km a day. It is not real easy buit if you have riding experince it can be done. Price will depend on what you want to be included. We had not only a guide but also an interpreter which made it easy to communicate with the locals. But of course we had to pay for her also. We paid for a 15 day trip, everything included, 1250 euro p.p. I found this tour on www.ecotour.kg
