SOLO TRAVELERS!Hey guys,
Planning to indefinitely pack up and backpack towards the end of this year.. I'm 21/female traveling solo. Interested to hear from any other solo travelers/backpackers in general (especially female but guys too) on how they found traveling South America (Central too) solo... Any tips or information that can be shared would be greatly appreciated... issues, things females should do/watch out for, budget/cost tips etc ANYTHING!
ALSO, what were your personal budgets for traveling South/Central America? Planning on staying in dorms and traveling overland. Anyone worked or volunteered or helpx to prolong their travels?
Anything info/tips or things you feel a solo female traveler will benefit from please share!

I'll be leaving in a few weeks and ill def. post on returning. I'm going solo too and was concerned about security but from what I hear, there are tons of other backpackers to hook up with. Traveling with at least one more person I emagine is better for boy or girl.
My budget is tight. About $1000/month but I will be in Chile which is more expensive. Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, money will go further. Argentina takes priciest prize.
For me wild camping a d hitch hiking is the best bet. Splurging once and a while while in town between parks.
I've heard of helpx. Curiouse... Might be really fun.

3Bear in mind that in Argentina the $ sign means pesos. The American dollar symbol is US$.
