Is there a good island to visit in late Feb. early March?
So...... We're looking for an island comparable to a Thai Island, We like walking around , some snorkeling ( day trip ok), swimming, quiet, Good food, wifi and flash packer prices. Any such place? Feb. March. or should we stick,to Thailand?NO PARTY ISLAND and not over touristy.
Does such a place exist?

Oh...... In Malaysia. :)3
February in Thailand would be ok, not over crowned and weather is hot but not too hot like March. You can look at Similan Island in Phuket, there are one of the best places for snorkeling. Or Koh Chang, it is further away but very beautiful as well not too much touristy place.Malaysia, you can go to Terengganu or Tioman Island in Malaysia. Those places are great for snorkeling, calm beach but wifi might not be the best because it is off main island. It also depends on your budget if you book some hotels which have concierge who can activities for you. Sometimes, you can even rent equipments from resort.

Most of chalet and resort already open at Perhentian Island on 1st February 2013 and Redang Island official open on 1st March 2013.Based on your needs no party and over tourist , Perhentian Island the best option rather Redang Island. Its totally the best choice to stay here...seem you are traveling during low season..its less people during that time..
Redang Island will over touristy during weekend and school holiday..
Spend 5-7 night at Perhentian Island are recommended....

Perhentians for sure,if you can make it as late as possible in your timeframe.Beginning of March will be quiet and the weather should be ok...good snorkelling, some places with wifi and not very touristy at that time of year.
Only one not so easy to find is the good food......at least, compared to mainland Malaysia.
