La Paz to San Francisco flight
Hi, so I'm wanting to fly from La Paz to San Francisco, I was just wondering if anyone has ideas of the best route to fly? Just typing it into search engines seems to route the fly via Miami which doesn't geographically make sense to me! Looking at flying in July if this helps!Thanks in advance!

I guess it all depends on what do you understand by best.The main options are:
American Airlines changing planes in Miami. The flight from La Paz to Miami makes a technical stop in Santa Cruz de la Sierra.
LAN changing planes in Lima. The transit time in Lima between flights is very long.
TACA changing planes in Lima and San Salvador.
Expedia shows flights with TACA via Lima.
AFAIK, TACA doesn't have direct flights from Lima to San Francisco so either that route is with two different airlines (TACA to Lima and LAN to San Francisco) or involves a second change of planes in San Salvador.

Alternate route: get to Santa Cruz VVI and from VVI to Las Vegas LAS or Los Angeles LAX via Panama w/ COPA Airlines.
