Best decent, relatively inexpensive Travel Insurance???

Traveling through Thailand, Cambodia, and on to Bali soon. Wondering what thoughts anyone may have on some decent travel insurance to buy online, which I neglected to secure before leaving home. So many of them seem NOT to cover transportation to a decent hospital which, to me, would seem crucial to any bad medical situation: would you rather be treated for a severe situation by a doctor in a small town in Cambodia or Indonesia?, or flown to Bumrungrad International Hospital in Bangkok where some of the best doctors in Asia reside?
Thanks for any decent feedback on this!

I've used WorldNomads in the past, though I've yet to actually have a claim. You can buy while on the road, so it might suit you.

As for medical situations on the road... You should probably talk to your hotel or hostel desk person...first...

Remember they actually live there and they know whats available and what is not... Just do what the locals would do for starters...

If your situation is more serious...ask for some local advise on where to go next...

Mostly don't worry about medical situations...without good reason...

Likely nothing will happen...so just enjoy your travels...

Yes...Bangkok and Singapore would have the best doctors...and I'm sure Bali has good facilities too with all the tourists they deal with on a regular basis...

I have used 1 cover for years no problems.

You can choose your level of insurance.

Most "relatively inexpensive" travel insurance will include evacuation to a hospital, but don't count on it being Bumrungrad! When my YMCA roommate came down with a serious illness in Singapore, it got him into a Chinese traditional medicine hospital ~ not what a Canadian would hope for.

I've had good reports on DAN medical insurance for a non diving but very serious accident from the guy who survived it, and his friends.
