I went to Guadalajara to get some sleep.
I'll bet it was beautiful many years ago...
I've been to a Greatful Dead concert or two in my time. I've survived M80 attacks from fellow campmates on the northern shores of Ensenada. I've endured many a top-fueler at Pomona, and F-16 at Edwards. I've even dared to walk past Amimale in Tijuana.
Nothing. Absolutely nothing, compares to the raw, crackling, mind-numbing blast of decibels coming from the loudspeakers far into the night of the circus, when it comes to town in tiny Sayulita. Not even San Blas.
Though a small club inexplicably sited next to the campsites in Palenque does come awfully close in pure sonic destruction. When I asked one of the locals about it, they said "huh?
