Can anybody tell me, if passenger train services are running again in Cambodia? I know that an Australian Company called Toll had the contract to rebuild the railway system in Cambodia and when I was in Phnom Penh in 2011, I saw the rebuilt railway line to Sinkookville, but are passenger services actually running? Thanks for any assistance!

As far as I know, they are carrying cargo-primarily cement. Have a look at this:http://www.ttrweekly.com/site/2013/01/cambodia-test-trains/
I suggest you also post your question on this website http://www.khmer440.com/chat_forum/viewforum.php?f=6 So, in short I believe the answer to your question is still "no". But post on the suggested website; the expats in Phnom Penh are more on top of the situation that us hicks in the sticks.

Answer is no , all though there is a lot of line rebuilding going on in the kingdom , i think it's going to be some years yet until passenger services are re-instated , to build a network is one thing then you have to decide where to put stations and this will be subject to who pays what ! to have a station and all the wealth that having a station will bring to that province ...In other words i would not try booking your tickets just yet !
