Three weeks: Kyrgyzstan or Mongolia??
Hi there,We have end of July/August three weeks off. First we were looking into Mongolia. But at some point we read a bit about Kyrgyzstan, and this country sounded very interesting as well.
We have travelled quite a bit during our sev trips in Asia (incl China and Tibet) but never managed to set a foot into Central Asia. So we were wondering if someone has been to both countries and would recommend one over the other.
We like to exploring a new culture, hiking, camping, being outside and enjoy the nature.

what's to say? surely better Mongolia because we love this country also because we meet many friends since 12 years we go thereof course kyrgyzstan is also an interesting country, part of culture is similar.

Ive been to both. I thought Mongolia was expensive to do a tour but I enjoyed the trip. Kyrgystan was a lot easier cos they have CBT for accomodation and the transport links are better. Of the two I would choose Kyg but you will have to make the decision your self based on your own personal interests.I have a blog at www.travelpod.com/members/dzasta both are in there, Hope it helps.
