What happened to Cuba's page? We leave in a few days and I do have a few questions. Everyone was so helpful before, now I wish I would have private messaged some of the regular contributors. Miss you guys!

It seems many specific locations are still being examined - sorry about the poor timing for you.

What questions do you have ? Try me here. There are other boards - though they are largely geared to those going to all-inclusives.

Ya, miss the Cuba forum. Heck, even the PM messages box is gone so I can't even contact anybody directly. Sure hope the TT gets it all together real soon. It's the height of the winter travel season and people need to chat about their travels.

Sure hope this has nothing to do with the OFAC and the American's Cuba Embargo. Would be a shame if Cuba talk was forbidden for all of us who can LEGALLY travel to Cuba.

Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Steve / Beardo: yes everyone hopes that TT gets the Cuba forum back up on line quickly. It certainly is not that our discussions were about traveling to a foreign country for sex, drugs, and rock & roll as seems to be the concern for TT/LP/BBC.

No question in my mind this has absolutely nothing to do with the US/Cuba relations since we Americans are #2 behind you Canadians in legal visits to Cuba. (of course, we are not officially "tourists" but most of us are legal)

Steve / bob - good to see you here.

Note that the whole of Latin America (except for the few Caribbean islands) and Africa is missing still.

Don't think so. Remember those "age of consent" threads from a few years back? I suspect they wouldn't last long in the current environment.

Anyone who ever though the TT moderators were heavy handed should try posting something on TripAdvisor. While anything related to an all inclusive resort is permitted, even a "here is how you find me via Google so we can take this outside TA" gets deleted.

If you are looking for an all inclusive resort, then TripAdvisor is the place for you. If you want to travel to Cuba independently, just hope that ThornTree resumes.
