Since the OP hasn't returned and even acknowledged the responses so far neckervd I doubt it even matters where we end up.

First time poster, no acknowledgement. Again and again and again. I'm beginning to think all first time posters who post to ask rather than contribute an answer, should be ignored until they have posted 10 responses first or something. Maybe a new poster should not be able to post a new topic at all until they have posted a dozen responses or something. A filter in the software would do that.

A credit system where you can only ask if you have already answered. Like a 'lending library' (I had one in my bar in Greece) where the rule is 'bring one FIRST, then you can take one.' I had to enforce that rule because initially, so many people came in took a book but didn't leave one. 'Oh, I'll bring one to leave tomorrow'.
