Also - moderators - do you wish to remove the pre-moderated protocol from this thread ... it's a very useful one and free of controversy, so it would be handy.

Hey guys, here's a simple way to make your recent threads appear again. Click the following link:

http://www.lonelyplanet.com/thorntree/post

It will say "Page not found", then simply click the "Thorn Tree forum" button (or click back and refresh).

Clicking the above link also works wonders for mobile: it allows you to post from mobile and see threads ordered by last post. (This functionality seems to have broken today or yesterday too.)

Abuse button not working. There's at least two commercial tour ads, totally off topic, on the U.S. Branch.

Geez, what else could occur on this forum as of late? What a joke.

I was able to report them.

Anything to drive membership away, right?

so....after having over 3/4 of the Haiti threads 'disappeared', PMs disabled and forced to use public social media messaging, the most basic of functions - email alerts and the watch list blows up.
No - doing these little click this link, it fixes it - doesn't work. The fix goes away after I leave the site. Additionally I am finding it more and more a waste of my time to drop by here - I know many of us are disposable, but seriously - this has become a complete joke.

Don't know if this should be on the 'bug' page or the 'PM' page, but here goes. My PMs are only listing up to 5 years ago and there should be many more than that. Another poster told me she found messages between the two of us going back 7 years. So where the heck are mine? My recent thread list is back, for what it's worth.

Recent threads seem to be appearing after you reply to or make a new topic , it's all getting a bit fuzzy and hazy here mods for us lot the sooner that it's resolved the better ..
I think that losing the PM function is a shot in the foot for all of us , it was a really handy function that i along with thousands other users will really miss , i really wish that the owners would reconsider this madness ..

Unfortunately the ONLY representatives of LP who are attempting to explain/justify this ridiculous policy are those who have been directed to implement it not those responsible.

Same question here, if anyone's listening; why does the thread list keep disappearing and appearing? I can see that someone is trying to alter the appearance and performance options on the website. Without the thread list to allow people to keep track of posts, it won't matter what is done to improve the website. Soon enough LP will have no content contributors.
