Thanks!
One of the following two links cannot be posted. When I try to include them in a post, I get an error saying "This message contains content not allowed in this forum.". Both links are official embassy websites and therefore seem quite travel relevant.
Since I can't actually post the original urls here, I've included the links using tinyurl redirect service, which does seem to be allowed, despite the fact that it could potentially link to ANYTHING.

shilgia - bzookaj is right. We thought it was better to have all bug reports in one place so people would read about what's already been reported and any subsequent answers.
Laszlo and mikehuxley - I am not in a position to be able to make any promises about anything. If I've said something's in the backlog; it means I've passed the request for the feature along to the team of developers. Nothing more. These things are not within my control, so I can't make any promises.

Something changed and now I can only set RSS to follow all posts in the Africa branch. Any way I can still narrow the selection down?
The moderators are obviously assigned the not-too-enviable task to act as intermediaries between him/them and us, so we have to direct our pleas to them and be grateful for any information they can part with.
I don't think there's much point in demanding "real information" let alone apologies. Our efforts are better focused on trying to recover lost features, at least those who returning hasn't been ruled out outright.
BTW katija, my last Q to you (in 367) is now obviously irrelevant. Thanks.

I submitted a post yesterday that shows up in the regional forum, but when I restrict the posts to a particular country only (which I specified when setting up my message), it does not appear. I had success with a previous post, so not sure what is going on here. I'm concerned that I might not be reaching most of the audience that I'm trying to given this issue. Thanks!

Lazlo, "Mike, the promises I referred to are those in katija's posts here". I know that's what you meant, not so sure I got the same feeling of certainty as you did from them though. But you are right it's about as good as we are going to get, which certainly doesn't help peoples frustrations with the whole situation.363

There is a bug that prevents making posts that contain urls for some important travel resources, for example, the official website of the Mongolian and Chinese embassy in Canada. I'd post the exact links here, but paradoxically, cannot.365

Until last week, I was able to follow new posts specifically labelled South Africa in the Africa branch using RSS.http://rss.lonelyplanet.com/thorntree/threads.jspa?forumID=9&keywordID=47

Katija, exactly. Which is why I'm sure you can understand so many of us are frustrated at all the uneccessary changes and lack of real information. We appreciate the difficult position you mods must be in, but LP (and the beeb) or whoever is in charge needs to get some real information out there and get things sorted pronto.372
Mike, time to realize and accept that "whoever is in charge" will never descend to us, earthly TT users. THIS is really something I believe there's no use complaining about. The moderators are obviously assigned the not-too-enviable task to act as intermediaries between him/them and us, so we have to direct our pleas to them and be grateful for any information they can part with.
