Currency exchange shouldn't be confusing, even in Cuba. In post #1, Terry gave a link for the Banco Central website. Look at the column marked Compra to find out how many CUC you can buy with your own currency.The only trick is that for Pounds and Euros*, you multiply the amount of your currency you are exchanging by the number shown, but for all other currencies, you divide the amount you are exchanging by the number shown, to get the number of CUC you can buy.
Plus, remember to subtract 10% from the amount if you are exchanging US dollars.
- Notice the footnote at the bottom of the table that says that the number shown is CUC per Pound and Euro. All other currencies are dollars (Francs, Yen, etc.) per CUC
