Christmas 2012 in Dong Hoi or Phong Nha
Hi everyone. I will be in the area of Dong Hoi or Phong Nha on Christmas Eve. Any suggestions where to spend a cheery night like somewhere serving Christmas dinner or places celebrating the festive season? Otherwise, anyone interested to meet up for Christmas drinks?Thanks very much and Merry Christmas to all!

Hi.If you want to have a party or festival Christmas night i think you should stay in Dong Hoi city. Many young people go out on that day and there are some big churches , they always have a big celebration for Christmas
Phopng Nha is very beautiful place that you have to go, there are some small church there,too. But it is hard to go and i dont see much local people in the area, so i am not sure there is a festival or something similar in this small town.

Thanks for the advice.I have just created an option for myself to celebrate Christmas Eve together with the folks at the Phong Nha farmstay. Was impossible to get a booking there at short notice, so I figured maybe I could just join in with their festivities so I wrote them and asked if it was possible. They were kind enough to say yes.
