Carnevale in Acireale - Which days are most interesting

Any advice on which days to attend the Acireale Carnevale? I am supposing that Feb 12 (Mardi Gras) is the 'big day' but perhaps the earlier days might be equally beautiful but less crazy? Or, will it be craziest on the weekend?

I've been to other Carnivals where the earlier days are more local, and the later ones more professional or even commercial. We don't need to see the 'biggest' day.

This is what we have to choose from (there are earlier events, but we won't have arrived in Sicily for them..)

Sunday Feb 3 - allegorical floats
Thursday Feb 7 – allegorical floats
Saturday Feb 9- allegorical and flower floats
Sunday Feb 10 - allegorical and flower floats
Monday Feb 11 - flower floats
Tuesday Feb 12 – allegorical and flower floats and closing ceremony
