Graffiti in Rio de Janeiro
Some of the world's best graffiti is in Rio. Definitely a highlight of my trip. Here's a few pics and a little info: http://tradingvoyageur.com/travel-blog/rio-graffiti-hotter-than-copacabana-beach/1
Nice pics!I'm also a huge fan of street art. Have you seen the wall of Rio's Jockey Club, located in front of the Botanic Garden? That's probably the best graffiti spot in town, with dozens of them.
If you like "graffiti hunting" you should definitely make a stop in São Paulo. The city is considered one of the best places for urban art in the world. In there you can see paintings from famous artists like "Os Gêmeos", for example.

It is often said that the most vibrant graffiti scenes in the world today are in São Paulo and Melbourne, Australia.@the OP. Nice photos.

By vibrant graffiti scene I assume you mean the more artistic variety, as in the photos. There's also plenty of random ordinary graffiti, of names, etc., marking lots of properties not belonging to those doing the marking. A lot of the latter in Fortaleza, but very little of the former. Defintion of graffiti is writing or drawings scribbled, scratched, or sprayed illicitly on a wall or other surface in a public place. I've seen some I have enjoyed looking at and lots I haven't. I once had someone spray a rather puzzling design on the townhouse in which I was living. Not artistic. I had to clean it off.4
I saw some pretty impressive graffiti in Valparaiso, Chile. As for graffiti in Rio, while there are some impressive and artistic examples in your pictures, so much of the city is marred by random pixação.

Valparaiso and Sao Paolo are both in my travel plans. In fact I plan on staying a month or two in Valparaiso this year.
