Cambodian visa in Beijing

Does anybody know the opening hours for the visa office at the Cambodian Embassy in Beijing? I'm not having much luck finding any specific info. Address & phone number is about all I can find. Also, any quirks of the Cambodian visa I should be aware of? I'm planning to cross in from Vietnam between Jan 15 and 20 on my way down to KL. I know that I can get a visa at the Vietnam/Cambodia border and I know about their e-visa but I have a bit of free time this week (And next, if it comes to it) and thought I'd save myself the hassle by getting it sorted now (Might get the Vietnam one in Kunming or somewhere though).

OK. Just got back from the Cambodian Embassy. Here's the deal (For anyone interested).

The visa office is actually inside the front gate so the Chinese soldier on duty has to physically let you in (He will first want to check your passport). There seems to be a flat fee of 200RMB for everybody (Or, at least my NZ passport was charged the same as a Chinese one). 2 day turn around (I pick it up on Thursday). There didn't seem to be any other options (At least, non that were apparent to me). I've been told that a visa at the border can be obtained for $20US so 200RMB might be considered a little on the steep side but it's much cheaper (Not to mention less hassel) than the $45USD e-visa. You do have to put an expected date of entry on the application form. But the guy didn't seem overly worried if the date changed. We'll see what happens on Thursday with regard to when the visa period starts and finishes.

Many of the Visa offices at Beijing Embassies are at the front gate, and not actually in the Embassy complex/building. Its is also a nice area to stroll around Ritan Park as these embassies are all huge, most of them gorgeous, and more like estates/manors. So dress warm in the winter months, as the person applying for the Visa, must stand in the cold. Some can have a line as well, like India, Russia and Brazil.

It was a piece of cake for me. Also got Vietnam visas in Beijing, no hassles.

Yes. Getting it was no major issue but it was a bit expensive. 200RMB is around about the $30USD mark and everyone says they are $20USD at the border (And the visa actually has $20 printed on it). I've got Vietnam ones in Beijing before and, if I have time, I'll try next week. Otherwise, I'll get it in Kunming

Yeah, but you'll already have yours, so you can roll your eyes at all the tourists standing in line at the border waiting for their visas. :)

Do you happen to know what times the Embassy accepts applications for the visa? Most of the Embassies in Beijing only take visa apps at specific time windows each day. Thanks!

From what I recall, it's open from something like 9 - 12 and 2 - 5 Mon to Fri and there was certainly nothing posted ascribing certain times for submitting an application and picking up your passport. In fact, the day they told me I could have my passport back didn't suit my work schedule and I asked if there would be a problem if I came back the next day. There wasn't.
