Is it possible useing a normal car in Winter?

I'm going to Iceland in January for 3 days

My plan is traveling from the airport to the city and then Blue Lagoon, Golden Circle and Vik (black sand beach)
not an extreme driving around the country.

so I'm curious about if i can rent a normal car (like Toyota yaris or Susuki swift) or i have to rent a 4x4 car.

Thank you in advance

Yes, ,,normal cars" are fine. The best ones for handling on icy roads are AWD like Skoda Octavia or similar. But 2WD are fine. 4X4 SUV,´s are not recommended, unless you want to do serious off roading or ,,snow plowing", since they handle way worse on slippery roads, and often give ,,false feeling of safety".
I recommend medium size sedan, 2WD or even AWD.
