5 Weeks Itinerary Laos Cambodia Vietnam?
I am having some difficulty figuring out a route for my trip through this countries, after spending a month in Thailand I'll have 5 weeks to visit Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam heading from Thailand (Chiang Mai), and I already have a plain ticket to leave from Hanoi the 26thI'm still don't know witch will be the best place to star coz I'm leaving from Hanoi, this are the places I'm planing to visit
Laos-Luang prabang
Cambodia- Siem reap, Phnom penh
Vietnam-Ho chi minh, Nha trang, Ha long, Hoi an, Hanoi

It will be rushed, best to head for Luang Prabang from Chiang Mai then head to VV and VTE, nifght bus to PAkse, 4,000 isles then into CAmbodia to Kratie, SR, PP Kampot into Vietnam, Mekong HCMC head north stopping on way at HOi An, Hue and HAnoi. Some long bus rides there.Cut 1 week off Thailand and relax a bit.

I'm going in January... I would do similar to Herbie with one minor change... don't take the night bus to Pakse (night bus in Laos or Cambodia is taking your life into your hands). From Vientiane, cut through Thailand to Siem Reap... one day to Khorat, next day to SIem Reap. Ideally I would do...1 week Laos
1 week Cambodia
2.5 weeks Vietnam
...with another half a week to use as you like along the way if you want to stay some place longer, take a side trip, etc.

From CM you should head to the Laos border and take the two day boat ride down the Mekong to Luang Prabang (get your Vietnam visa there if you need). From there Vang Vieng - Phonsavan - Vihn (vietnam) - Hanoi - Coastal trail down Vietnam to Saigon - PP (Cambodia) - Siem Reap - Back into Thailand.We complete this journey in a little over 6 weeks but you can do it in 5.

Hey thanks for the info, my idea it's to take the boat from Chiang mai to Luang Prabang stay 4 days, then a flight to Siem reap after that Phnom penh cross to Vietnam and make my way north with buses or trains to leave from HanoiIts Laos worth going only to spend 4 days in Luang prabang??

"Its Laos worth going only to spend 4 days in Luang prabang??"Not really but some people say it is the best place in Laos depends what you want. As for flight to SR hope you have plenty of money.
