Requirements on Colombians for SAfrican Tourist/Transit visa

Have any Colombians recently applied for (and received) a tourist/transit visa for South Africa?

If so, I would be very grateful for your help and advice.

The background is that my Colombian girlfriend wants to visit me in Malawi but needs to secure a transit/tourist visa for South Africa in order to get there. The closest consulate/embassy is in Caracas, and a travel agency in Cartagena is offering to organise it for her but the process seems complicated and expensive and I am not entirely sure that they know what they are doing.

If you have gone through the visa process (and even better, if you went via the Embassy in Venezuela), can you please outline the documents / requirements you needed to meet.
