Good deals on Air Canada...

At midnight last night Air Canada announced their, "12 Days of Holiday Deals" seat sale and some of the deals are rather extraordinary.

I just bought Calgary-Toronto-Buenos Aires for $290 each way plus taxes, so less than $1,140 round trip with all taxes in.

I can live with that.

I think that flight normally is around $1200-$1400 with United...currently $1200 on a random search, everything in (had been looking before we booked Japan)...still good though...hate the restrictions ac throws on.

But with at least two stops to change airplanes in the US (which I try to avoid whenever possible) and United can't be compared to Air Canada on international routes...

Veronica, I was a heartbeat away from buying Bogota (Colombia has been my favourite western hemisphere country for several years now) but I'm embarrassed that I've never danced tango in Buenos Aires so I went for it.

Too bad, Bogota would have been the perfect location for us to finally get our fling out of the way...

I want to go to argentina as well, that was my second choice. Now i am torn..I imagine you are very sexy.
Tell me more about colombia? What to see , what to miss.

Only problem is dealing with the surly Air Crappy staff, would rather pay a bit more & fly with a quality airline.

Name one better airline that serves those Canadian departure points on those international routes.

International flights = good deals to be had. Not so much within Canada though: YQB ->YVR within the same dates comes cheaper with WestJet.

#12 I'm not going to check all the flights but Westjet to Toronto then Taca/Avinca will get you to CA/SA without the hassle of transiting a US airport. A win/win situation.

In my experience Air Canada easily beats Taca and especially Avianca for customer service on international routes. In my opinion you'd be going to a lot more trouble/hassle and way more money to gain nothing.

Different strokes.
