Saunas are not a very big hit in Denmark. Try the (indoor) swimming pools, they often have saunas.

You might have better luck if you use the word "wellness."

There is several wellness-places with sauna, hot pool, spa etc. in Denmark. Some are connected to public swimming-halls some to Hotels as a part of the service.

I do not personally like saunas, but in Copenhagen and the suburban to Copenhagen (were I live) I use two places were there also is saunas. It is at good idea to contact them before you come and hear about when they are open, when there is sauna-gus and so on:

  • Copenhagen: Øbro-Hallen

  • Suburban/Brøndby: Vestbad

  • In Copenhagen there is also something called DGI-Byen, but I have not been in their wellness-department yet.

Try as an alternative to combine the word "wellness" with "hotel" or with "Svømmehal" (Means public poll or swimming hall). It is also possible to rent a summerhouse with sauna.

If non of this help you go to a tourist-information office. They can all advice you about saunas in the area you are staying in.

If you come to Denmark via Copenhagen Airport, there is usually a brochure/map in the aria were you pick up your luggage. As I recall it there is also something about wellness.
