Cell Phones?
Hello there everyone.I'm traveling to England in March for 10 days and I will be in a different town/ city on an almost daily basis. I was wondering what is the easiest way to call home to the US. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Is your own phone unlocked ?If so buy a "pay as you go" sim-card from the nearest ASDA supermarket

I really hate the idea of bringing any electronics, so Skype is out of the question. I do have an Iphone, I was planning on taking a few pictures so I was going to bring it. I really do want to be totally liberated, however my folks would have a fit if I didn't contact them at all during my trip. I am traveling alone and I really just want to get away and enjoy some nice museums, historical sites, food, shoreline, etc. I'm not planning on spending hours on the phone. Just a check in call from time to time.9
Agree with #8 - just get a calling card from a youth hostel or any corner shop (especially the ones in a multi indigenous area - which is all of London) and then use a payphone. You could easily call anywhere in the Western world for max 2p a minute.I'd leave the iphone at home if you wanna be liberated, otherwise if you're not careful it'll generate monster data charges.
