Driving to Guatemala from NY. What to do with car once there?

Hello,
My 2 friends and I are driving to guatemala next month from NY. To Lake Atitlan. We've been planning researching quite a bit for a while. We will be ther approx 3 months, but we are fine with the car till we get there. Does anyone know if there is somewere safe or secure to keep a car during our stay there? We will be busy once we get there so the car will not be needed, and I believe where we will be there is no actual road drivable to get there. Any info greatly appreciated <3

hey,
so driving to Lake Atitlan, Guatemala
there's a few different spots to get down to the lake
the nicest i believe is San Pedro La Laguna

there's a road down to the lake that is a experience you'll never forget !
think Switch Backs..

Anyways in San Pedro there's a nice secure spot just down by the lake next the ferry "dock"
its owned by the German veterinarian lady,Barbra

after your done with the ride down you'll probably need a drink so just down the way from your parking spot is the Buddha Bar!
enjoy

Why not fly? Also, you do know you need to be the registered owner, and have possession of the original title of the car in your name, and the vehicle is in your Passport, you cant leave the country without the car, or else pay huge import fees/fines/taxes.
