If you pass by Hoi An in Vietnam, you have to be careful when you will do shopping. (shoes and clothes)The most of the time, your guide or the reception of your hotel will recommend you one store ("the best of the city") for your shopping. You should know that the store will charge you 30% or 40% (Kimmy, shoes 09, Yaly...) because they will give commission for them. I mean, one suit at 100$, you will pay 140$ because of the commission. The best way to do is to check internet to find the good shop or to ask another tourists in your trip.

I personally know receptionists in Hoi An involved in the scam.They are very blase about it.
