Skating outdoors in Mexico, way too cold for my liking. That's why I leave up north and spend the winter on the "Costalegre"!3
The rink is going up now in Plaza de Armas, Zacatecas. I enjoy watching the skating and the decorations are really nice, and sort of a combined posada/tamborazo callejonada deal has started on the wkend. But I am just spending the time with friends here and maybe (also cold) Durango with my Russian buddy, then heading to the beach in January. Feliz Navidad!5
Cancun but even then a Norte can blow in and you can freeze having your dinner outside on Christmas eve.. Bring warm clothing and be ready to drink strond rum.8
Home on the rancho, celebrating fiesta after fiesta with our neighbors. The familias del "otro lado" come home to our small, rural corner of Michoacán to celebrate first communions, weddings, and of course El Día de La Virgen de Guadalupe. Our fiesta going starts tomorrow.I hope that we have the strength for this time of feasting and drinking and masses after masses.I have purchased, as of today, 4, promised to be colorful skyrockets, one with a parachute plus a long sparkler.

"I have purchased, as of today, 4, promised to be colorful skyrockets, one with a parachute plus a long sparkler." (@8)Are these the same 4 skyrockets you plan to utilize to launch the distinguished (and "colorful" in her own right) la Doña Anonimo into the sky with? I can visualize it as I type this: there she goes ... across the horizon ... sparkler in one hand, bottle of tequila in the other ... and returning safely to la tierra with parachute securely affixed. ;-)
Yes, it's a great time of year to be in el campo en Mexico.
