Extremadura: Caceres or Guadelupe?

Will be finishing an organised trip in Trujillo morning of 28 december and catching train Caceres to Madrid early on 31 december. Had intended to do Trujillo - Guadelupe - Caceres but now find no buses out of Guadelupe on 29 december and only at 16:50 on 30th. So do I arrive in Caceres late evening on 30th and depart early on 31st so not see it? or do I miss out Guadelupe and go direct Trujillo - Caceres to spend more time in the latter?
Or, does anyone know if a day-trip to Guadelupe is possible from Trujillo? I don't drive, but how much would a taxi for the day cost to do that trip?? Or are there any ready-organised such day trips? Or alternatively I go to Guadelupe for the night of 28th and take a taxi from there to Caceres on 29th - how much would that cost?
