Thanks shadi2 for your update! It is really a bad news as I've already prepared my car, CDP, visa etc... for Iran. Now I am planning an alternative, I will still drive to East Turkey, collect my visa at Erzerum then store my car in a secured garage during the time I am visiting Iran without the car. I believe I can go by bus or train. My questions:1) Is it easy to find a secured garage to store the car in East Turkey (Erzerum) for, say 2 weeks?
2) Is it a problem that I exit Turkey (temporary) to Iran without exporting/driving my car the same time?

This morning I got my visa in Erzurum.Iran Consulate have been moved
I asked the officer if it is true that foreign car is now forbidden to enter. He said no it should be no problem. I will believe this after I am in. Will update this in a few days.

Good new! I am in Iran with my car now!Yesterday ~10am I arrive the Turkish border, zero waiting, just a few mini-bus there for their regular crossing. Exit Turkey was straight forward. Then the Iran side, as expected some helpers offered to help. The whole process was a mess and very unclear what was going on, I just had to followed the helper to go around here & there. Took me more than an hour, documents needed are mainly passport & Carnet.
I am happy finally I am here with my car. People are so friendly & helpful. 4 stars hotel costs only ~20 euro. The best part was my fuel tank filled up with ~100 litres of diesel for ~3 euro.
