Need advice re bogota airportHello i have a one hour 15 min layover between arriving Air France from Paris, then flying Copa air to San Andres
Would anyone know if both flights operate out of the same terminal?
i will have just hand carry on & should have preprinted out my Copa airline boarding pass
Is this time sufficient ?

1You will have to change terminals. When you get off the plane show an airline official your ticket and tell them you have no luggage and where you should go. You will land at terminal 1 an need to go to terminal 2. There is a shuttle bus that you will take. You will still be in transit an will go through customs at terminal 2 before boarding the plane to San Andres. Depending on how long it takes to get off the plane from France and the bus trip and customs 1 hour and 1/2 may be enough if you hurry. When you land at San Andres you will have to go through customs again. You must have a Hotel reservation with you or if not an Islander with an OCCRE must meet you at the OCCRE airport office. This apply s for all people (Colombian citizens and foreigners without an OCCRE (OCCRE is a permanent resident card.) If you speak Spanish it will be easier for you. Make sure the person you speak to is an airport official.

A little nuance that can be relevant: You are scheduled to have a 1h. 15m. layover. Nobody can guarantee your flight out of Paris won't be delayed (or even canceled)...

4This advice didn't seem to make any sense when I thought back to the pleasant terminal that we passed through in March 2010. Then Avianca had its own terminal but all other International and some domestic flights flew out of the other terminal. And I specifically remember COPA when we boarded an Aires flight. So I went to the website and all I can say is "wow!" The new airport looks like it is really something. So all the International flights including Aviance fly out of there? Do Avianca domestic and other domestic airlines fly out of the same terminal? Is the domestic terminal the old one that I remember or the terminal Avianca used?

- 4 you are right, the above advice is totally wrong. All domestic flights with Avianca depart from Terminal Puente Aereo all other domestic flights depart from the main terminal (old building). Anilegna you will arrive at the brand new international terminal (where all international flights arrive and depart) you will clear immigration and customs, once you pass customs you will be redirected to the old terminal 1 (100 meter walk from the new terminal, no bus needed) where you can take the escalator and clear security for your flight. Since you have a preprinted boarding pass you are entitled to use the fast track Copa security that is on the right of the main security gate.
San Andres flights will make you double check your handbag departing Bogota and will check your luggage upon arrival in San Andres, this is a drug related issue. You should have enough time, going through the new airport is quite easy.

6The terminals are right next door, there is no bus trip required (that is required for Aviana not copa). I fly air france once a month and it rarely arrives on time - in fact I have stopped taking it from this month fwd and switched to Lufthansa for that reason. You will be lucky to make that connection even it it lands on time after taxiing, exiting, waiting fo bags and immigration etc..

7I missed #1's comment about the shuttle bus, and there is no way you could make a connection if you were connecting in Puente Aereo, but I still think it would be a struggle to make the transit from T1 to T2 in such a short time. I've waited in line for an hour or more to clear customs and passport control at Bogota before now.
