half a day in KL
I will be flying on Air Asia into KL at about 8:30pm and staying overnight at Tune Hotel just outside LCCT, and then catching the Air Asia to Yangon the following afternoon about 3pm. This means I have the whole morning free before my flight. Will it be worth my while to go into the city and spend the morning sightseeing? What might be good to see or do in that short space? Seems a waste just waiting it out in my hotel room. (This will be on December 26 by the way.)
Thanks for any suggestions

Do you need to stay at the Tune?If not,I'd get the bus into the city when you arrive.Stay in Brickfields (near KL Sentral station) and then do some sightseeing in the morning. Then get the bus back to the airport at lunchtime.
This will be cheaper than staying at the airport and give you time for at least a quick look at KL......

Yep - I totally agree with lucapal. We usually stay at the Myhotel@Sentral which is part of the Brickfields that lucapal mentions - really good and relatively cheap. You can then catch the bus back to LCCT for around $8 the next day. Would be a waste of time in my opinion to stay at the Tune Hotel overnight.3
If you have already paid for the Tune, then just get an early bus to KL Sentral, and go sightseeing. From Sentral you can take the monorail to Bukit Bintang or further, and walk to KLCC.6
it is already almost an hour by taxi from LCCT to downtown KL but you can check out Petronas Towers and Bukit Bintang area or museum for short hours. Try to save sometimes for flight even though you can check in online but it is crowded airport so it takes a bit time to scan your bag.7
Nothing wrong with staying at the Tune hotel...it's a short walk from the terminal and beds are comfy although the room itself is tiny. I'm presuming you have already booked it so just wake up early and take the train from LCCT to KLIA and then into KL proper, have a walk around Brickfields and have a good lunch. KL is not that interesting IMHO.9
Yes, wake up early and take the KLIA Express train to KL Sentral station in Brickfields. Have a nice Indian breakfast opposite the station, then take the bus or LRT train in Sentral station to KL Tower nearby to see the view of KL and take some nice photos of KL. Then go to Central Market nearby Chinatown area for some souvenir shopping like t-shirt, trinkets, pewter before heading back to Sentral to take the LCCT bus. That what I did for an overseas same co staff and he enjoyed it. Cheers !10
830pm...get taxi arrive KLCC nearly 10pm. ask the taxi driver to take your photo. use same taxi to send you to Bukit Bintang. get some massage. Bukit Bintang staying alive untill 4am. can get a rooms in petaling street.wake up go to central market. 11am go to KL Sentral. get a direct bus to LCCT. get a taxi for more secure.
