Cleaning up India-Pushkar

India has beautiful sights , tastes , sounds, culture and an incomparable heritage. But the only missing link is cleanliness. 8th december , 2012 shall always be etched in my memory when a total of 300000 people resolved on a single exhortation of their Guru to do what no one has done in the history of INDIA or the whole world. And it was a wondrous sight to see thousands of volunteers marching with brooms giving Ajmer and Pushkar a thorough scrub. Not only the temple's but the Holy lake , streets and toilets were brushed by the dedicated swarm of volunteers.I saw the event initiated by the Guru Gurmeet Ram Rahim Ji Insan. It was an amazing sight because they covered every nook and cranny of AJmer and PUshkar and starting from the venerated shrine of dargah sharif , covered everything to the BRahma temple . And it was awesome to see people getting down into drains and open sewers with enthusiasm and diligence.

I thought the cleanliness issue was part of the cultural experience.
