Dublin advice
Hi there,I'm traveling to Dublin on the 12th this month for a couple days. It's the first time ever I'm going solo, really excited but a little nervous aswel!
I tried to book a nice hostel but the first ones said there closing down for the "Christmas period". Now I got a little scared that I maybe booked a wrong period to go? Anyway I found a nice one in the end, was wondering if anyone here knows a few nice places to go in the evening. Hoping for a bar where they have jam sessions or live music?
Many thanks,
Jiska

Time is a little short and I am not a Dublin expert so can only advise you ask on a more active Forum like Trip Advisor which has some excellent local advice for the city.3
hey, check out the generator hostel. i was there a few times and i can really recommend it!! good prices, absolutely clean and friendly and your are close to the city center (3 stations with the luas), check out their website, just google it, for sure they are open over the christmas period.
good luck and enjoy dublin!!!

I think this is a nice time of the year to visit Dublin (weather aside); the streets look lovely all lit up and you have people out for christmas parties etc. There tends to be a nice atmosphere all round.Going out wise I would stick to the area between Grafton Street, George Street and Dame Street. I'm sure a few others will drop by to let you know of music venues.
