TREKING IN BULGARIA?!? when and weather
Were planning to do a four to five day trek in bulgaria starting in bansko and ending in malnik through the pirin mountains.The trek will take place at the end of march 2013. Is the weather there in march suitable for trekking? can we sleep in tents or does the weather dictate that we sleep in the cabins?

There is a possiblility of still plenty of snow in Bulgaria, especially on high ground, in March. Unless you are hardy campers with proper full on winter camping gear, it won't be very practical that time of year.3
Well yes there is the likes of many Eastern and Central Europe countires, but at lower levels. Croatia and Montenegro have some good winter walking trails along both the coast and inland, to mention just two choices. Do also please take into account though, that may forecasters are predicting a very harsh winter for much of Europe this coming few months.
