My partner and I are planning our honeymoon for late June, early July 2013 and hoping to spend about 2 weeks total in Corsica, Sicily, Sardinia or two of these.
I'd welcome any suggestions or recommendations, e.g. if one of these islands is much more favourable than the others, also specific locations to visit and stay. We don't want to move around too much during the 2 weeks, so we'd prefer to focus our trip on just 2-4 locations.
We're early 30s, from Sydney and well travelled, don't need luxury but prefer not to rough it too much on our honeymoon! Hoping for a good combination of beach relaxation, good food, some active exploring (hiking etc), some culture. Hoping for picturesque scenery too as she's very into photography. Happy to be in a remote location for a few days, but don't want to be cut off from civilisation for the full 2 weeks. We have no Italian, my partner has a smattering of French.
Thanks for your help!

1All 3 are nice destinations...all have what you are looking for in varying quantities.
From my experience (a lot in Sicily, limited on the other 2 islands) I'd say Sicily has the best food,Sardinia the best beaches and Corsica the best hiking.Far more 'cultural' stuff on Sicily...if you are talking about art, museums, ruins etc.
You could easily spend the whole 2 weeks on any one of these islands IMHO.....

2Between the 29 June (even some days before) and the 01 July (and maybe two days later) I woulnt go to Corsica. In exactly this time start the Tour de France passing by Porto-Vecchio, Bastia, Ajaccio and Calvi with hundrets people, stuff, tourists, journalist from over the world. Any space will be booked right now and if you find a room somewhere it will be more than expensive.

3Forget to say that I would not go to Corsica at all. 20 people get killed on the streets this year and only last night 24 private houses get explosed.
