Honeymoon In Bali - Help
Help - we are planning a Honeymoon in Bali for late March/ early April 2014. There seems to be so many resorts, it is extremely hard to find the right one for us!We are looking to stay in a hotel/resort for roughly 10-12 nights, and target budget is approximately NZ$4000-$5000 Total (about US$3300-$4400).
We were after the typical honeymoon settings! Privacy, luxury, Amazing beach/clifftop location, great pool, spa, great restaurant etc etc etc.
Are we dreaming, for the budget we are after? Or is this possible??
Any advice welcomed!

Can I suggest that you don't book the whole 12 nights in one place and before you see it. I would book the first 3 nights or so and then decide whether to stay on or move. It's a lot of money to devote to just one hotel. What if it doesn't meet your expectations? There are hundreds of very nice hotels all over Bali, so many to choose from and no problem to move around. Use Agoda and book as you go. Read the reviews as well. Have a great time!7
^^ good advice right there.I stayed in a very highly rated Hotel (TripAdvisor) in Seminyak for 4 nights this year...and it was complete rubbish!!
If you use Agoda - check that they offer free cancellation with the particular booking - some places offer this, some will charge a fee to cancel.
Here are TA top picks on Bali for "Romance" - perhaps a good starting point - http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotels-g294226-zff3-Bali-Hotels.html
Personally, I would avoid "Crazy-Town (Kuta, Legian & Seminyak), but hire a scooter (not from your Hotel or resort) to explore the Island some more.

follow your heart, do search, read carefully, discuss all those resort you have been searching with yours, find the best one and compare review by tripadvisor...March and April still on Low Season.....
Or find one resort with Honeymoon package, they offer for minimum stay at least 3 nights and the rest of it you can find another place or extend if you like it...
In Ubud : try Puri Sunia
happy honeymoon then

Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort just opened on Friday, its 5 stars. Could be a good place to start and none of your friends have been there. Its close to the airport so you can stay a couple of nightsafter a long flight then move further afield to some of the more secluded resorts. They have some nice grand opening deals till July.Which ever resort you choose get a package from the resort or with reservation that includes pick up from the airport or transfer and extras thrown in like massage & spa visits.
I agree with the others that it would be better to stay in a few different places maybe 3 nights in each. One by the water, one in the mountains etc.

Hmm ^^I would avoid anywhere near the Airport (Massive construction going on there and huge Traffic issues as a consequence) I would also avoid Kuta if your looking for Privacy, luxury, Amazing beach/clifftop location!
Moving every 3 days will be a massive PIA!!
Choose 1 or 2 locations that are very well reviewed, tick all the boxes you require and fit your budget. The more research and planning you do, the less the risk of unwanted surprises.
