To go from Chau Doc to Phu Quoc, the shortest and the easiest way is to go to Ha Tien by bus and then take a fast boat at 10 AM. From Chau Doc there are two morning buses to Ha Tien, at 5AM (?) and 9 AM, taking 3 hours. Normaly, you should stay one night in Ha Tien (hotels are not expensive, a nice beach near by, Mui Ne, 1 dolar to get there with a motorbike taxi), because in the afternoon there are no boats, and take a boat next day.17
Bring the passports and important things with you when on the buses. Should you shorten the stay in Can Tho. Stay more in Chau Doc with some interesting exursions in Chau Doc.
