Uyuni just before Christmas and then to Bolivian border?

I'm not sure if anyone can help me as I'm hoping to travel to Uyuni just before Christmas and then go directly to the border of Bolivia. Are there any three day tours that take you to the border at Villaźon as I need to cross and go to salta in a short space of time! I'd love some advice!
Thanks
D

I'm not sure where exactly you want to end...3 day tours end up in Chilean border, Villazon is a border with Argentina and there are no tours there, as there is nothing to do and see. Well maybe I will start some venture one day and call it la contrabanda tours but for now you are on your own when looking at stolen cars, cheap subsidized propane tanks and gazillion Chinese plastic goods ;-)

Thanks for heads up! I was thinking of travelling to Argentinian border but I guess the Chilean border is better?? I have a bus ticket booked from Mendoza to Santiago but think travelling through Chilean border from Uyuni is the better option? Then head straight down from there?

Once again it depends what you want to see and where you want to go, both options are good.
Going trough Argentina requires taking bus/train to border of Villazon and it's about 5h from there to Salta.
Taking a tour from Uyuni you can end up in San Pedro de Atacama and from there either take a long bus or fly from Calama to Santiago
If your only interest is getting ASAP to Santiago 2nd option is definitely better, if you want to travel in between going trough Argentina is much more interesting. Northern Chile is pretty boring

Thank you so much for valuable advice-definitely going to follow up the chile border route instead of the stolen cars and plastic route!

another thing you need to be aware of is that most companies stop tours "just before christmas" so your timing might cause you problems. Those that do continue doing tour have to be considered to be possibily unsure as a main reason companies stop, apart from wanting a break themselves, is that he drivers are highly likely to drink during this time. Exact dates of when they stop vary from company to company but for example Red Planet (one of the more reputable companies) are stopping tours from the 18th Dec , many will probably stop on the 21st or 22nd so if you can try to leave on a tour by the 20/21st you should be ok. (These dates are about when the last 3 day tours leave enabling the drivers to get back by christmas time)

Is depende where are you going, Argentina or Chile.
If you go to Chile, I suggest you finish the tour in San Pedro Atacama.
If you go to Argentina, I suggest you finish the tour in Uyuni, from Uyuni possible to take train to go to Villazon, from Villazon you need to go La Quiaca and, from La Quiaca is possible to take bus to go Salta.
