Visa at the border ?

Does anyone know if it is still possible to get the Burkina Faso visa at the border ? I'd be entering from either Ghana or Cote d'Ivoire.

Visas are available at the BF border crossings.
Count on 94,000 FCFA per person.
It'll be much cheaper to get it through an embassy.

That's the price at the border, no way around it. The price should be less than half of it at the embassies.

No kidding unfortunately.
It's the official price for a visa at the BF border.
Indeed about half the price at an embassy.

How old is your information guys?

I had heard from other travellers in July and August (more than 3 seperate occassions) that the B Faso visa on the border was down to 24,000 CFA (more for Americans however)......and that it was this price also at the embassies.

So it sounds like the B Faso visa on the border has gone up again? Would be good to know how old your information is guys.

24,000 sounds more in line indeed with what visas cost in the Sahel slightly tourist-dependant countries.

visa on ghana bukina faso border 144 euro yes that is correct 38 euro in advance i believe as of 16 dec 2012

Again, this price is not imline with what we found. 3 day transit visa was 24000CFA and 3 month visa was 47000CFA. Unless it has all changed again in last 2 weeks?
