I think he's not bothering to write on this thread anymore.

I'm in New Zealand now and will be in Australia in a few weeks so when I get there I'll sort everything out for once and post it up in detail, as there seems to be a lot of confusion about this.

My thinking still is because you/ve never been resident in Australia before you wont be entitled to any benefits immediately.

Think you might be right there. Hope you are that would be too easy and unfair on others when someone just comes in and bluges without any merit.
