I'm not sure how they deal with it there, you can go and ask them anyway, then decide how you want to go.

Is Vic stricter tho as OP is an Aust citizen, and they might want to do a test?

If WHV maybe easier, but citizen maybe more rigmarole.

Daycat, for goodness' sake, stop talking about things you know NOTHING about. you are a nightmare sometimes.

I frequently left the UK on my UK passport and arrived in NZ on my NZ passport.

OP, if you have no luck with work in Aus, you might want to see what's available in NZ - there's a LOT of aquaculture starting up here at the moment. As an Australian citizen, you have the right to freely enter NZ as well (although it's not quite so easy the other way around, bloody australians). Have a look on seek.co.nz if you think it might be a possible plan.

They give Indian students full VIC licences on demand, so I presume it'll be the same for you

Ray - that comment was far from serious.

Stewy; Daycat may appear to be giving you lots (and lots) of helpful (?) advice but like westwood says a lot of what he's posted is contradictory, and some of it is just plain wrong. Take what he says with a grain of salt. Lots of them.

We had university students here in Auckland have their group thing disbanded for "propagation of harmful misinformation" In daycats case he "a "propagator of useless information". Pandered to bt some, pulled up by others. Harsh as that may seem.

Thing is, a lot of what he says sounds plausible and like he might just know what he's talking about. Especially with the odd official link thrown in. Which is why it's so dangerous when some of what he's saying is just totally WRONG just so that he can sound like he knows everything about everything (or so it seems). I'm sorry DC, but you have said so many things here that are just not right. Nobody expects you to be the font of all knowledge. Maybe try to stick to what you know.
I'd tell you this in a PM but you seem to ignore those.

One point to remember concerning Daycat is that he doesn't have a car, or even a driver's licence, so his advice in this area is purely theoretical.

Daycat's advice in a lot of cases is purely theoretical. And often wrong.

He does however seem to be soaking up a lot of information on the subject of sweet cider of late. I suspect it's a bit of a hands on learning curve.
