It was hailing here in Palermo yesterday..and its getting REALLY cold (for here)...cold air coming from Greenland, according to the weather on tv.

Down around 10° at the moment...I wish I was in your place Ansh ;-)

Flinging it down with snow here now visibility has dropped to about 100 yards. Not having much impact on the ground though cos it's titchy flakes not big fat wet ones. I reckon we now have 2cm despite it snowing non stop for 5 hrs now.

No need for a triple room...if we can just switch ;-). I'd love some snow, being in a place where it almost never goes below 10C.

Thanks for the offer, Regards ;-).

No problem Artemis, I'd even appreciate non-snowy weather, as long as it's close to the 0 mark.

It's now 4 o'clock and its getting dark outside. I wish we have the 21 December as we have the beginning of Winter time and days get longer or the end of the world.- or both?

I'd like to clarify the aim of my post #17 as it seems it has been misunderstood.

I was going to propose Sierra Nevada for the prize. The first snow after summer fell there in late September (which wouldn't be winter if you were using the Meteoroligical reckoning because winter would start on Dec. 1st) this year but I doubted too if you were looking for snow in inhabited places (as you quoted inhabitated places) or if it was also fine snow in the mountains. If you were looking for inhabited places, I should look for other nominee. In other words, the only aim of my questions was to clarify what possible nominees could meet your requirements. Of course, it makes no-sense (or little sense) now as Beerfree quoted in #20 a place further south (although out of the countries covered in this branch).
