I think that you don't get it (the prize) but let's clarify some points:
1) I think you should clarify if winter was a typo (and you meant autumn) or if you really meant winter. In other words, if you are using the Astronomical reckoning of seasons or the Meteoroligical one. Or, if you prefer, When does the valid period for that snow start?
2) The snow should be (have been) over an inhabited town/villages or is snow in mountains also valid?
1. If it snows it must be winter.
2. Judging by the amount of times I stopped at pedestrian crossings and the number of cars in Montefiascone, it is very inhabited.
And just remember it is St Nicholas' day today, so don't be so mean!!
OP here: definition of snow report: regardless of season, where you are there is snow now.
Bonn update: the lightest of light dustings has unsurprisingly melted. Vincent Kompany sneezing on Christiano Ronaldo would have been sufficient hot air to melt the lot. Like #15 we are also due 5cm of lying snow over the next 24hrs; it's due to start 5am-ish and not stop until about 10am ish on Sat. Will be light, but lightness aside, 30hrs of it whilst sub zero will have some sorta effect.
Personally not affected. Work is a 400 metre stroll. Just have to fish out the warehouse spec safety boots for max grip. No biggie.
