The rain seems to have dried off the streets, but it still looks miserable outside. And that's how it felt when I went to buy the Sunday paper.

#497: regards, a bit like the Primavera*) showed, a bit more to the east, yesterday, weather for diehard cyclists from northern/central Europe (as ranking confirms;-)
I immediately canceled my trip to the beach in the region next May and prioritize for rocky, snowy mountains. Fabulous sight!

*) World Tour cycle race Milan-San Remo

arizona, I cannot cancel my trip to the beach this year or I need to move my home. But indeed, to go to the snow in May or even later must be great.

We are alternating bright blue sky with dark clouds blowing from the northwest. The forecast is for giboulées de mars, aka short strong showers of rain or sleet or even snow in between sunshine, common in March or April. It's 11°.

Sunny here again..strong scirocco too.

It is a lot warmer outside than in (at least in places where the heating is off...like where I'm working today).

Congrats bjd, I´ll go for the millennium ...

And regards (#499), yes, it should be great there, I read on a Forum from a 'very objective local resident'.

Sitting in the sun now, preparing a mountaineas overseas trip, interrupted by someone who is leaving for Thailand next week and invited us for this winter ... not yet jealous?;-)

After the past bad days the sun is here, how long we will see. 15° for the moment. The ski resorts are full with some meters of fresh snow but nearly empty with people under the week.

Berlin at Tuesday morning
http://www.berliner-zeitung.de/berlin,10809148,22152982.html

It''s not more snow than until last weekend, but fresh one once more :-> The meteorological station in Potsdam has now counted 68 days with full snow coverage in this recent winter. That does not include days with some rests of snow or cold days without a snow layer. That's not uncommon in Berlin/Potsdam but far above the average.
