Jan 14 and Jan 15 are the coolest days of the year historically, and the weather was cool, 29C/14C for past 3 days- amazing breeze throughout! Situation in Bangalore, text from Ansh.

BBC has a live news update for the snow "chaos" in the UK. Busily reading it. Looks pathetic. Thousands of schools, for what looks like less than 5cm of snow in many areas. Wales I can understand, but not the rest.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-21073373 <-- I love the update at 08:22. Hill? What hill?

As for Bonn, germany, no meaningful quantities of snow since Tuesday. But that hasn't melted, cos we haven't been above zero for nearly a week. Next snow is like Kerouac2, scheduled for today. Will believe it when I see it, we seem to have a microclimate. Sunday looks more likely if you ask me.

Although last night the sky was clear and it was cold here, this morning there is a bit of snow and icy mush on the streets. But the temp is just above 0° so I am hoping it will melt. It is supposed to rain this afternoon so it might clean it all up.

Strong wind over the past night and now sunshine, 10° and humid as usual in the middle of the seaside and the white Alps nearby. Very good situation in all Wintersport resorts.

1 to 5 cm of snow in central Germany since last Saturday. Tuesday morning the temp was -12°C. And it's going to be below zero for at least one more week. Why couldn't it be like this on Christmas day?

Sun and marvellous view to the Alps (Jungfrau, etc.), but temperatures below zero degrees even at noon. Snow: about 2 cm around Berne, about 10 cm in the hills surrounding the town, 1 to 3 metres in the Alps.

#Fwoggie: Yes, -12°C on Tuesday morning in Thuringia. Sun didn't appear the whole day because of the fog in the valley. Unfortunately it's not enough snow to do cross-country skiing, maybe next week.

There are some huge snow clouds coming from Belgium to NL, according to weatheronline arriving here at 12:45 p.m.
(sidenote: this move at any case more confident than the fast train Fyra, connecting the Lowlands and since yesterday completely stopping service due to many technical problems)
