Snow in the north of Italy,in the mountains and the forecast is that it is heading south....

As for Bonn, germany, no meaningful quantities of snow since Tuesday. But that hasn't melted, cos we haven't been above zero for nearly a week. Next snow is like Kerouac2, scheduled for today. Will believe it when I see it, we seem to have a microclimate. Sunday looks more likely if you ask me.
(sidenote: this move at any case more confident than the fast train Fyra, connecting the Lowlands and since yesterday completely stopping service due to many technical problems)

BBC has a live news update for the snow "chaos" in the UK. Busily reading it. Looks pathetic. Thousands of schools, for what looks like less than 5cm of snow in many areas. Sun and marvellous view to the Alps (Jungfrau, etc.), but temperatures below zero degrees even at noon. Snow: about 2 cm around Berne, about 10 cm in the hills surrounding the town, 1 to 3 metres in the Alps.280
