(The only other time I've seen this much snow in Milan, I was expecting a package from Amazon--until tracking suddenly decided that delivery could not be made due to a "natural disaster").
It's rather pleasant actually.
Sounds like England during the heat wave of 2003. When temps hit 30° they stopped running trains for fear the tracks would warp with the heat.
Are you staying in Milan for Christmas?

I've flown back to northern England (from Umbria) today - it hasn't been above -3 all day here with patches of freezing fog. Neighbours say the frost hasn't lifted since Sunday, but all change tonight with a deep low pressure bringing gales, heavy rain tomorrow and temperatures back up to normal for this area in December around +7 or 8. I guess I'm disqualified from this branch now I'm in UK (despite the earlier hemispherical challenge?)109
5-7 cm of snow here in Milan and still falling. Break out the Bing Crosby records!(The only other time I've seen this much snow in Milan, I was expecting a package from Amazon--until tracking suddenly decided that delivery could not be made due to a "natural disaster").

Bonn - the sun is breaking up the dull grey clouds. Currently it's about +3C I reckon which is great, cos I have a baaaaad hangover from last night's christmas party. No snow is left, and long range forecasts do not anticipate any more until well beyond Christmas. It's rather pleasant actually.
