February travel from Salamanca to GranadaHappy Holidays, Everyone
My first post, and hopefully not my last! I will be studying in Spain in January and February and am exploring options for traveling from Salamanca to Granada, 2nd week of February. Would appreciate suggestions on traveling (with a suitcase) from Salamanca to Granada. Bus or train? I will need to move in with my host family on Sunday and the class ends in Salamanca on Friday, if that gives you an idea of the time period I am working with.
Thanks, in advance, for your advice!

Welcome to TT!
You have 3 main options to go from Salamanca to Granada:
1) Bus from Salamanca to Madrid (the route is operated by Grupo Avanza) and bus from Madrid to Granada (Bus company: Alsa).
2) Bus from Salamanca to Sevilla (bus company: Alsa) and bus (Alsa too) or train (train company: RENFE) from Sevilla to Granada.
3) Train from Salamanca to Madrid and train from Madrid to Granada (train company for both routes: RENFE). You'll have to take a cercanías train (operated by RENFE too) in Madrid to change from Chamartín station (where trains from Salamanca arrive) to Atocha (where trains to Granada depart).

3I think train is the best way to go. It is more comfortable and the connection in Madrid will be at the same site.
As I said in #1, the OP would have to change stations in Madrid as trains from Salamanca arrive to Chamartín station and direct trains to Granada depart from Puerta de Atocha. In other words, the option by train means 2 changes while the options by bus mean only one. Other than that, it's all a matter of preferences and budget. BTW, on the train route from Madrid to Granada you can get heavily discounted web fares if you book your tickets online well in advance.

4If the bus route from goes from Slamanca to Sevilla through Extremadura I would take that one. The landscape is much nicer than the route through La Mancha, even in winter, specially if it goes over the Sierra de Bejar.
