Rock Climbing Gaoxiong(kaohsiung)
Hi, I am a newcomer to Gaoxiong and was wondering if anyone could give me an update to the climbing situation here? I've seen some stuff from google, but it seems to be pretty outdated. I am wondering if there are any rock walls to train at? Also, I would be looking to do some outdoor sport climbing down the road. Any info you can pass along would be awesome. Let me know if anyone needs I partner too. I only have my shoes, harness and belay device.1
I'm not a rock climber myself. but I've been around Taiwan enough to knowThe real rock climbing is done in nantou county and the east coast. The Miaoli county rock climbing clubs are big enough that i'd actually see them doing "drills" or practice along the roadside, (something I've never seen in the USA), but I am 100% certain most of their climbs were in Nantou and East Coast.
I think your real question was about what sort of rock climbing opportunities exist near Kaoshiung, and I wish i could answer that, but I can't.
