Coolest month for the north coast of Peru ?
Hi, Peru travel adepts,My ladyfriend and I will visit Peru in 2013, and want to see the amazing archaeological sites on the northern coast. However, she has MS (fortunately a mild case) and does not tolerate high temperatures well at all. Which month would be the coolest on the North coast of Peru? We don't mind rain, but baking heat is what we would like to avoid.
Please advise, and thanks in advance for any information.

Well typically May-October is the "winter" time for Peru...Though the coast is always going to be humid though, dry season or rainy season...The Cusco region is typically going to be cool and dry May-October...2
Hi!I depends on La-Nina' and El-nino'. Usually it's very hot there year around. You may have better luck heading south of Lima and closer to the Chile boarder if you want to stay on the coast. areas. There are plenty of uncrowded beaches there or head inland into the hills and mountain areas. The closer you get to the Ecuadoran boarder the more mosquitoes your going to run into also. There are very few mosquito's to bother you in the evening after you are south of Lima a couple hours by car or bus.
