U2 TourismHi All,
I am planning a trip to certain parts of Europe in 2013 and Ireland is definitely on the list. I will be making a stop in Dublin and I am looking for any kind of U2 tourism in the city. I love the band so much and it is part of my reason for stopping in Dublin. Are there a variety of tours that I can do to learn all about where the band grew up, went to school, recording studios, concert venues etc. Any advice would be much appreciated.

2This is fwoggie's link from yesterday. While great and covers several interesting points it misses some which are included here. This map will help as well. I don't know about bus or walking tours.
Personal additions or further info on others in links.
1) Windmill Lane where they recorded early music. Area a bit rough, some might not like to go there at night.
2) The Bonavox hearing aid shop where Bono allegedly got his name. It is in Earl St North off O'Connell St.

4Pretty sure U2 don't have the pulling power of the Beatles to get the same sort of tours they have evoked in Liverpool. If you want to spend then you could fit a Night at the Clarence http://www.virtualtourist.com/hotels/Europe/Ireland/County_Dublin/Dublin-296021/Hotels_and_Accommodations-Dublin-The_Clarence-BR-1.html and if you have use of a car then trip out around Athlone and have photo by Moydrum Castle, You might want to get permission http://www.moydrumcastle.ie/ which was more than they did for the cover of The Unforgettable Fire.
