Travelling to Israel, West Bank and Gaza
Hi all, I am from Hong Kong and I am planning to travel to Israel in the coming December 21 to 1 Jan. I have bought a return ticket to Tel Aviv. I have some friends living in West Bank and Gaza and I planned to visit them. I know it's a bit hard to get into Gaza now.Is it a good time to travel to these places? And can any one suggest some route for me? I guess I would spend 2/3 of the days in Israel and the rest in Palestine. I have no experience in travelling in the Middle East before and I really need your advice. Thanks so much!

Since you will be in Israel over Christmas, I hope you have accommodation sorted out. December 24 and 25 in particular are peak travel time, and unless you are staying with your friends I doubt you will find any accommodation at such short notice.4
The West Bank is fine. You won't be getting into Gaza.5
Getting into Gaza from the Israeli side is not possible, particularly in the wake of the recent violence. From Egypt, you may be able to, but it tends to be chaotic and not guaranteed.6
Tourists are not allowed to cross into Gaza from Egypt (Rafah crossing).
